Selleys - Procurement Specialist Raw Materials & Key Accounts - Padstow

This role presents a great opportunity to join an energetic team of procurement professionals working with some of Australia’s most iconic brands.

With an emphasis on responsibility for managing the procurement process for the supply of  raw materials in addition to  ownership for all our Key Toll Maunfacturers  in both Australia and New Zealand We have a diverse range of products  sold under the Selleys & Yates brands.

We require a Procurement specialist that ideally has an understanding of the chemicals and/or horticultural industry.

A diverse and challenging position, key responsibilities will include:

  • Involvement in the New Product Development cycle with regards to Procurement, including sourcing/ costing and commercialisation of new products/processes,
  • The establishment and development of long term, effective business relationships with raw material and resale suppliers,
  • Regular vendor benchmarking and
  • Management of the supply market to ensure that Selleys/Yates has a set of raw material and resale purchasing contracts in place that meet the business’s’ operational requirements.
  • Delivery on annual cost saving targets in the procurement area.

This is a fast paced environment that requires a self-starter that can work both autonomously and as a part of a small team.

Working with local and international suppliers some business travel is required.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate exceptional supplier and relationship management skills, strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.

Computer literacy in the areas of spreadsheets and SAP will be highly advantageous.

The environment is challenging yet rewarding. You will be involved in the day-to-day activities of the department in addition to contributing and being responsible for a number of (NPD) new products launches.
