DuluxGroup is Australia's leading manufacturer of surface coatings and consumer adhesives including such well known brands as Dulux, Cabots, Selleys and Yates.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the role of Production Supervisor will have primary responsibility for managing the day to day operations of the Selleys factory in a safe, cost competitive environment that meets customer expectations and needs. In particular, this role will be accountable for the production and maintenance for the afternoon shift.

Your challenge in this role will be to utilise your strong leadership skills to influence outcomes. Specifically, you will be required to develop and engage production teams to improve the quality and performance of the factory baseline. Your day-to-day responsibilities will require you to manage staff on the production floor, provide guidance and report on safety issues, facilitate team meetings, as well as coach and support team members. Your focus will be to develop a performance based culture though a commitment to safety, customer service, quality and process improvement.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a solid background in a manufacturing environment with direct production line management experience essential. You will have demonstrable supervisory or team leadership experience and strong communication skills, as well as a relevant academic background in Engineering, Chemical, Technical or related disciplines. A background in maintenance as well as exposure to best practice policies (i.e. 5S, lean manufacturing) will be highly regarded.
